This Keyboard allows you to control a home entertainment center and computer from up to 30 feet, and you can launch digital media, watch movies, surf the web and send instant messages from this distance with ease. With this keyboard, you can even adjust the volume, control your music, movies, photos, and more while sitting comfortably on your sofa. This keyboard has 83 regular keys and 33 customizable function keys.

It features a green start button that launches Media Center PC functions quickly, adn backlit keys that let you comfortably locate and continue with your work even in dimly-lit rooms. A keyboard lock prevents your keyboard from being turned on by mistake or without your permission. Combining a wealth of functions in an attractive package, this is an exquisite value! Pros: easy access to media center functions Cons: mouse pointer, keys, pretty much the whole keyboard Other Thoughts: Ive owned 2 of theese, bought the second one thinking i got a bad one the first time and couldnt return it.nope got the same thing, the mouse pointer is ssoooo frustrating that mine is in a million pieces in the trash. You get going and it stops halfway to where you were going, junk junk junk will some company please make a touchpad version, that would be great and thank you.until then Im going to try some others here as the long wire I have going now is pretty lame.thanks microsoft. Pros: Nice wireless KB - works right away with the existing MS infrared remote controller for Media Center.

Light enough and good quality of keyboard (buttons). Lays nicely on your lap and a few extra buttons make it easier to use. Cons: The mouse pointing stick is unacceptably bad. Cash textbook of neurology for physiotherapists pdf5658294. You have to press (push down) it to use and even then the movement is uncontrollably fast or slow. I use point stick on laptops for 10 years by now and this one is absolutely nothing even near to laptop ones.

The KB has a 'lock' switch that kinda shuts it off. The switch is located under the KB on the side closer to you and is not easy to determine its position. It would be much better if the switch is located on the side that is facing the monitor (right under your fingers) and have either a LED or clear mechanical indication of its position. The KB also promises to be able to shut your TV on/off.

No matter what I tried, it could not handle my rather standard Sony TV. Other Thoughts: I use the KB very rarely as most of my interactions with my Media Center PC are done using an IR remote, so I am OK with it. I would throw it away if I were to use it on a daily basis. Pros: All keyboard functions from the couch with convenient media center buttons.

It's sturdy, looks sleek and feels solid. Works with Media Center remote control receiver. No drivers needed. Media Center buttons light up when pressed (not regular keys) but even better this function can be disabled to save battery life. Cons: No Infrared receiver. Mouse pointer hard to use.

Types like a laptop keyboard so it feels a little odd, not 'normal' feel like a standard keyboard. Other Thoughts: The mouse pointer is not intuitive but with patience and finesse you can learn to use it. Pros: Great addition for a MCE based HTPC. Fairly decent setup, feels nice and sturdy, yet very light.
