Install Wifislax In Virtualbox

1 Jan 2000admin

Install Wifislax In Virtualbox Guest. To return ownership of keyboard and mouse to your host operating system, VirtualBox reserves a special key on your keyboard for itself: the 'host key'. By default, this is the right Control key on your keyboard; on a Mac host, the default host key is the left Command key.

Instead of using an USB filter, just connect the wireless network on the host operating system, and define a bridged or NAT connection in the VM configuration. On the image referenced in the comments, you have both a bridged adapter to wlan1 and an USB filter.

According to the VirtualBox manual, section: 'VirtualBox can allow virtual machines to access the USB devices on your host directly. To achieve this, VirtualBox presents the guest operating system with a virtual USB controller. As soon as the guest system starts using a USB device, it will appear as unavailable on the host.' So, if the USB filter is pointing to the WLAN adapter, it will disappear from the host OS when you boot the VM, also disabling the bridged adapter.

In that case, remove the USB filter from the configuration.

BillG wrote:Even If you could bridge to a USB wireless connection on the host it would not look like wireless inside the vm. It would look like an Ethernet connection. The only way to see it as a wireless connection is to capture the USB device from within the vm. The host will not be able to use the device while it is captured by the guest. This is what i did: I can launch the vm and apply a couple of commands to begin to audit iwconfig airmon-ng start wlan0 from a linux console. Best Regards Posts: 157 Joined: 3. May 2012, 22:21.

I have a lack of basis but I will try: 1. Deactivate the antivirus relating to the availibility of the usb in the guest, that seems to be occupied by the host 2. Investigate any other process relating to this. And how to locate such processes or services in the host system. Your help - i suppose - give this by known by an expert user in windows. Remont

By an economy of time I will try also with vmware. When I have an answer I will put here. In General the web offers answers to this problem relating to a minor conflictive vmware, but seems that this environment have similar problems. Some of the videos and help analized are a simple a lost of time with instructions to nowhere. Other instructions are in the most genuine line of complicating and large depurated measures to bore any user.
